I don't know anything about computers anymore. Which of these 2 would you get?
Laptop 1:
Cpu: Intel Pentium T4400 / 2.2 GHz ( Dual-Core )
Cache: 1 MB - L2 Cache
RAM: 4 GB - DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz ( 2 x 2 GB )
HD: 500 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 - 1 GB DDR3 VRAM
Laptop 2:
Cpu: Intel Core i3 330M / 2.13 GHz ( Dual-Core )
Cache: 3 MB - L3 Cache
RAM: 3 GB - DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz ( 1 x 1 GB + 1 x 2 GB )
HD: 320 GB - 5400 rpm
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - 512 MB DDR3 VRAM
Other specs are identical, and so is the price.
I'm not too fussed about the difference in HD-space, I have external ones. |

| What do you need it for? The i3 is better optimized for newer programs but the other one could probably handle more processor hungry applications. |

i didn't know Pentium-based laptops were still being sold.. Pentium is even older than C2D - the predecessor of iX

Music production and Traktor (when I can afford it). Probably some gaming too, but it really is best for me if it can't run the newest games too well. Want to get some work done for a change.
Thanks for the input people. Seems pretty obvious 2 is the way to go.
They are Acer laptops. Price is 5500 NOK, which is 918 USD. Keep in mind that this is Norway, most expensive country in the world. |
