Are you in the mood for some classics??? Here is a set I mixed during a Halloween Party at Nevada Smiths in New York on October 29th, 2010. A handful of classics ranging from 2001 to 2007 from trance legends such as M.I.K.E., Perry O'neil. DJ Tiesto, Cosmic Gate, Robert Nickson, and Mark Norman just to name a few. This is definitely a compilation filled with the much moodier side of the trance genre, and gave me a chance to actually play out some of the older stuff that I have an undying love for. Roughly an hour and a half of pure dark, epic, underground prog and trance, perfect for Halloween! Enjoy!

We return with yet another compilation to add to your playlist. November has brought some great releases from some of the best in the genres of progressive and trance. Cid Inc, who is one of my favorite deep prog-house artists opens things up nicely with his tune 'Revolve' followed by the mood setting 'DMZ' from Luke Porter. As we drift into the sounds of MSZ and search for the lost with Timewave (both on the quality label Mistiquemusic), we reach a tune that has worked wonders for me in my last 2 gigs here in NY - Alan Fitzpatrick's 'Invlolve'. This is one of those tracks that is HUGE on the dancefloor, and not just in your headphones. I will never forget the crowds reaction at the Digital Campfire warehouse party I recently played.
I'm not big into remakes much, but I am a big fan of Jon O'Bir. I could not pass up his reworked version of the classic 'Riva - Stringer' that incorporates the same composition style as the original, only with a more updated '2010 trance sound' so to speak. And now that we have the 2 trance heavyweights MIKE and Sean Tyas in NY on November 27th, I had to play classics from the both of them! The title "Tranzy State Of Mind' says it all, followed by the simple, yet powerful and effective bassline from MIKE's 2003 remix of his own 'Universal Nation'. In a similar situation as O'Bir, Tyas reworked the timeless beauty 'Insigma - Open Our Eyes' which also has become a timeless rework in itself.
