as a dj: luckily i've only had that happen to me once during a set in front of people. i could feel the adrenaline rush just watching this video, especially the second time it happened to him.

| I feel sorry for him, that's one of the worst things that can happen. You have to think quickly because you are not sure what the problem is, and you can see how quickly the crowd can turn. |

haha Gotta feel for him... He played it off well, with a sense of humor and a smile on his face, so good for him for dealing with it well haha...
That happened to me recently in December at Love during the first minute of my song "Lost Angeles"... I shoulda known better, it was one of my older burnt versions of "Lost Angeles", I had a few other CDs I coulda chosen but that one was the first I saw, unfortunately... I played it off by quickly mixing out with another song, beatmaching on the fly, thank god, it coulda ended worse... |

Happened at my first gig, my heart sunk for a second but i quickly recovered with a decent track for the next tune.
I doubled checked that CD too before i left the house and after i got home on my own CDJs and it worked fine. So it had to be their equip. But the funny thing is, not one of my other CDs had a problem, even the ones with slight scratches or fingerprints.
I think pioneer personally programs those CDJ1000s to stop during breakdowns and build ups too to aggravate people haha :) |

That sucks.
I used to be a specialist at taking the needle off the wrong record after a mix back in the day. Thats a pretty easy fix though. You just immediately put it back on.
I once ejected a playing disc while playing ast Love. It was actually my birthday party two years ago...the night Breakfast played. Dead silence for like 15 seconds. :( I was seriously rattled the entire rest of the night.
Guetta handled it well though...laughed it off. |

| That's a horrible experience...embarrasses the DJ tremendously and kills the vibe of the party. Bad for everyone involved, but especially bad for Guetta. |
