I love children and have always naturally been good with them. I look forward to having my own but not for at least another 6-7 years until I'm around 30.
Good thing is I'm used to their crying so children on planes don't bother me at all. |

| I have a 9 year old boy, and he thinks I am the coolest mom ever lol. I am great with most kids and I like being around nice kids, sometimes they say the funniest . I don't tolerate brats tho and brats would definitely not like me :p |

I've never disliked kids, but I was ALWAYS terrible at communicating with them. I'd never really know what to say to 4 - 10 year old's after "what's your name?, how old are you?" etc. Thanks to a tough economy though, I spent ALL of 2008 working in the shop of a Korean business owner who'd always leave her 3 kids with me and the rest of the staff (but mostly with me). Wow did I learn a lot from them about myself. Turns out I'm pretty good with kids now that I know how to communicate with them, and EXTREMELY patient, probably boarderline softie. I'm gonna have to have kids with someone who's a bit more of a disciplinarian down the road.
I mean, I don't let them walk all over me or anything, but I could never bring myself to yell or repremand the kids even when they got in my way or half prevented me from doing my job as efficiently as I would without them around. I ended up having more fun than I thought I would, and they were all pretty sad when I left. The only really tough part was tough questions, like this one asked of me right after Christmas '08.
kid: "Mr. Blake, did Santa Claus die?" :(
me: "Uum... why do you ask?" :nervous:
kid: "Because, he didn't bring us any presents this year." :(

Yeah i did this too, only i got paid for it. Me and all the other counselors used to break up fights. until one day we got sick of it and let them fight, and bet on who would win (it was pay day :)) but then it got spoiled when all the parents showed up at the same time to pick up their kids and they were horrified when there was a 30 kid brawl on the soccer field and we couldnt stop it.
