Now, perhaps, but in 5 years, when you are done accomplishing the major things in setting up the rest of your life, wouldn't you at least entertain the idea of having a kid?

Oscar Wilde and Tim Leary both had kids. It's kind of what keeps me thinking about it. :o

Yea, why I said right now. I think I'd more than likely at some point when I have secured my own future and can easily provide for a spouse and offspring, then yea, I'd definitely be entertaining the idea. Right now though I am young (24) and pretty much have any opportunity available to me for what I want to do with the rest of my life, so the thought of brining other people into the fold in some sort of permanent way like having children is simply not on the table.

My father was 34 when he had me, even that seems a tad young.

Not pansy! Do you know what I have to go through to do it? Well, actually, it is all pretty easy except for the daily injections. :nervous:

Is it worse than childbirth?

Psh, I'd have someone else carry the baby.

Surrogate mothers are unbelievably expensive. Do you have 50 grand to spend just so someone else can grow your baby?
Joss Weatherby
Would it be incredibly cruel to have to viable people with no relationship donate sperm and egg to have a test tube baby in a surrogate mother and the have the child put up for adoption with never having anything to do with the child? :conf:

Eh, that's like a 3/10.
