TA Event Sub-Forums for Europe (France-Germany-Holland-etc.)

Hey Everyone,
I don't know if any of you visit the USA or Canada regional forums but you'll see that we have event sub-forums and it keeps all the party information organized/easy to find. I can do the same here but I see some problems:
If I look at France, Germany and Holland forums right now I see that you all have your own event threads for Trance Energy. What I'm thinking is that there should be *1* event thread for Trance Energy (in the Holland forum) and then any other regional forum (France/Germany/etc.) that wanted to start their own Trance Energy discussion thread would be allowed to -- but there would only be 1 main 'event' thread.
Suggestions? |

What do you think guys? I am unsure about a global thread for the main events, as a lot of the discussions that are ongoing in these threads is about organizing local stuff. If we for example look at the nature one thread it is about meeting for getting a joint camping spot or in other threads it is about which train to jointly take to go to Poland etc.
My personal opinion is to keep the local threads for the events and from time to time (for the fun of it) jump into the threads about the same event in the country where it happens (if this is not Germany).
As far as a suforum for events goes, I would also vote to keep the current structure, as most of the threads in this forum are about the events and it would split things up too much in mz opinion and release some of the energy and tightness, if we would split into general topics and event subforum. |

I agree with this, creating a global event won't stop local discussions and then we would have 2 threads instead of 1, not really necessary I think...
But I find the idea to have common threads interesting, for ex. that could be great to have a global European thread for events announcements (in France we have created "Listing of Parties in France & Europe" and I know that other countries have similar threads). It would be less work for everyone & more accurate info, the only question: who will make the updates? |

Even the big problem is......... not everyone can or is willing to write in foreign languages...... ;)
I know some people who canīt write English very well and donīt understand all...... so itīs a good thing that every country ( subforum) has its own Partythread ;)
Foe example atm........
you sticked the WMC to all Subforums......... and I donīt like it , because not everyone is attending this Event and itīs only USA ;) so everyone who wants to go there will be in the US thread for questions etc ;)
Greetings

I also agree, same local party lists but one common sticky thread gathering all infos, that could be nice (so this way, local thread can pick up infos in the general thread and chose what info they want to keep). But the problem is : who will update it ;) |
