I wanted to ask...is there a specific set of rules that apply to what can / cannot be posted in certain forums? The only thing I could find was the following, which is what you must agree to before registering a TA user name....

I am just legitimately curious.
As an example...for years, we have been able to talk about sports here in NYTA...whether it be hockey, UFC, snowboarding, boxing, The Yankees, whatever....
now Sports threads must all be moved to the Sports Forum...?
Just curious what has changed, and why? To me, those just seem like normal NYTA discussions. :conf: |

For years there was no active mod...that should answer your question. The site has been around for 10+ years and has always been organized by topic. I will try to get a copy of some kind of official rules for you.
Mainly tho... the last line says it all

Fair enough...
But my question then is this...if there is not a specific rule regarding sports content (for example). why did you decide to move it?
I am looking through the TOTA forums, and they leave sports content...
On the flip side, why are Prometheus Xex's video threads allowed to stay, when the content has nothing to do with NYTA? ( BTW, I think the vids are great, and I am sure people here want to see them) But I'm sure everyone here would also prefer to see the sports threads stay. Why is one allowed to stay, and the other not?
BTW, I am just using those two as subjects...the same comparisons can be made elsewhere. |

BTW, I'm really not trying to be annoying about all this. I have been on TA since 2003, and love being a part of the TA community.
Just seems like things are getting really tight around here. |

I've asked Swamper his opinion about the video threads but he has not replied yet. I've also asked for some official copy of the rules, and directed Swamper to this thread...again. |

this board is slowly going down the ClubPlanet path....
Clubplanet was broken down in a similiar fashion: Regions(NYC, NJ, Florida, and other spots in the US), Sex, Music, Drugs, and a promotion board.
there were no restrictions from people talking about monthly top 10s on the NYC Board or from people talking about the one Night stands in the Jersey Board. The admin trusted his mods. he only ask that the mods close and/or move threads if they were getting out of hand with drama.
It was FUN
I'm still wondering why this thread was closed...
