I know couple of you have been to land of kangaroos and such.

I could read a tourist book, but I'd rather get info from people who has been there.

Basically I have about 15 days to do whatever in Australia and New Zealand, so looking for stuff to do.

I'm open to pretty much any suggestions. Dates around Canada Day

Thanks! (love govt jobs and free vacations lol)

New Zealand is def on my list of places to visit in the next few years! Had the pleasure of speaking to someone from there a number of times and it sounds like such a great country.

Have fun, whatever you decide to do, Yohan.

It's gonna be winter time down there by the time you visit.

Other than the typical sight seeing in the large cities such as Sydney and Melbourne, etc.. I have one thing to recommend.

If you are in the Melbourne region, do the Great Ocean Road tour. It is simply amazing. You can book through a tourist agency where they take you on a 14hour road trip through the Ocean Road and stop at all the main places, like the Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge, 12 Apostoles, Bells Beach, etc... or you can do it yourself renting a car or whatnot.

I did it with Go West, and it was just amazing.

Born and bred Melburnian ;)
15 days only :( lol
Just go direct to Melbourne then and definitley do the Great Ocean Road tour Cro Addict mentioned.
The winters are mild there so you don't have to worry that.
For nightlife check out http://www.inthemix.com.au/
Check out an AFL footy game while you're there :p

thats a lot of time in melbourne if you are only there for 15 days. the two things i would absolutely do is a 3 days trip on fraser island (lake mckenzie is the most beautiful place i have ever seen) and do a 2 day sailing trip through the whitsundays (scuba diving in the great barrier reef).
surfers is highly over rated. I wouldn't bother.

I just went in September for 1 month. I did a 12 Day Contiki tour and 16 days on my own. It all depends on what you want to do. Hands down, the Contiki trip was unreal, people were amazing, and probably one of the best experiences of my life. It covers a ton of area, party every night, and sleep for like 4 hrs a night. I would recommend maybe mixing a contiki and some personal time. If you really want some help, feel free to email me, [email protected] and I can help u out.
