Dude you're either a moron or are not familiar with the concept/planning of Mutek in any way shape or form.
Save for maybe Luciano at a Piknic-Mutek event, none of those guys would ever get booked for Mutek. Period.
I honestly can't believe you're actually serious. You obviously don't know as much about and don't appreciate electronic music as much as the people that organize this event as well as the ones to whom it caters. |

The funny thing is that the people at Mutek (including me) would rather have Ben Frost than Sasha Diggers and Prydz any day of the week

Someone's missing the point of Mutek I think - out of that list, Luciano is the only one that would really fit in with Mutek.
The thing that draws me to Mutek over DEMF each year, is that Mutek books new / interesting artists, and artists that you usually would not get a chance to hear anywhere else.
Sasha, Diggers, Prydz, Howells, etc all play in Toronto/Montreal often enough that I'd be hugely disappointed to see them on the Mutek lineup, and would feel like the festival has jumped the shark. If those are the artists that you want to see, then Mutek is not the festival for you.
I'm surprised that Plastikman was not announced (then again, this is the early lineup), I'd also live to see Seph on the lineup - he's been on my wish-list to see for awhile now. Marcel Dettmann would also be nice to see on the lineup. Possibly Donato Dozzy, Cio D'or, Traversable Wormhole would be nice additions also.
I'm surprised that the a:rpia:r hasn't been booked for Mutek yet, I think that would make for one hell of a piknik. I'd love to see Jan Jelinek also.
Signal, Frank Bretschneider would be nice to see also, but seeing how last year was the Raster Noton showcase, I doubt we'd see these guys added this year.
Pretty excited that Demdike Stare is on the lineup, his recent album is pretty solid.
Curious to see what other names get announced. It's not so much that I'm disappointed with the lineup - it's solid so far, there just isn't much that's gotten me omg-wow excited either. |

Wow! Some people disapointed. Come On, they know what they're doing, don't play the connaisseur who can do better.
Danny Howells,Nic Fanciulli,Sasha,Diggers,Prydz @ mutek? LOL it's not circus,stereo or any clubs, it's a electronic music festival, i'm sure these dj's are not ih their list at all.
and the circus promoter who needs to plug his club,spamming.
