| Really like that line up for Wet Republic. Looks like WR is the place to be during the day and the palms at night. Finally got the tech house for MDW. Gervais, Le Grand, Sharam will all be bringing it as I expect good amount from Calderone also. |

| Flyer for Saturday night has some issues. Last time I checked Markus Schulz is a lot bigger draw then Oakenfold, yet Oakenfold name is bigger and on top. BTW saw Markus on Sat night in Dallas and he rocked it. Had place going off for 3 hours. |

Ummm, no. Even still, Markus is not Oakenfold as far as draw. "Oakenfold" is a name even the common person on the street often knows. Markus is not. It's why you don't see Oakenfold stuff pushed on TA. It's pointless with us with him for the large part. But to the mass-market fan, the fans Tiesto has reached, PvD has reached, etc... and Armin is going for right now...Markus is not a known name and overall not an incredible draw.
With Oakey playing often in Vegas and having his Perfecto nights, he probably doesn't have the full-on draw he'd get if he played there onec or twice a eyar. But on Memorial Day weekend, where people fly in from all over the country for weekend and the various events, they will know and go to Oakenfold before they know and go to Markus.
For us, yeah, Markus is more appealing to us these days. And probably to everyone who will hear Markus after he plays with Oakenfold. But going in, even if it wasn't a Perfecto night, his name would probably fit better at the top of the bill given the city & weekend the event takes place.
My two cents. I have no numbers to back it up....but make sense to me. :) |
