I think the post number on the front page of the forums refers to the number of searchable posts, all of them that haven't been deleted. The post ID refers to the total number of posts ever made on this site. I'm sure there have been many deleted threads, posts, etc, for the past 10 years, so that's why the post ID is so high.
I'm saying we're still 17k away. |
