Hi PPL..!
Did someone was on the "Love from Above"?
I was there, but PVD mixed two times, from 12 to 2 and then from 4.30 to 6.30. And as I can remember, this tracklisting belongs to the second part, am I wrong?? If im OK, here's a question for ppl who were there. In the first part, im not sure, but I think I heard that "Suzann" tune, and if it was, it wasnt similar to the one floating in the net. DOes somebody knows something about this track? Because the 7/8 minutes he played that track were the best of the night....! (well, not more than NU-NRG live)
Thanx you all.! |

hello,
I saw Paul last week here in Miami and yes, he did play a song very similar to 'Suzann (the one played on Rosenmontag`s Rave)'. Similar bassline, similar synths and some other elements. I thought it might be a new PvD track for his 2003 album.
many greetings,
f0x |

You were there?!? You could have met up with us, about half a dozen TA's (Germans, British, American, Australian) were at Love from Above.
He played until 9am, not 6:30. His second set was 4 hrs 30 mins. This set is definitely from the second set (4:30 - 6:30am), because I remember that's when he played Project Medusa - Exor.
Out of interest, did you see PvD playing for free at Cafe Schoneberg (Fritz radio) at 7pm on the Friday? We got right up to him and took some nice photos (check the Germany forum). If you have any photos from that weekend please add them!
Nu NRG were quite good, although I thought they started to get repetitive after what sounded like the same melody going for 30 minutes!
Btw, do you know the name of a track he played near the end with the words "I know your name" or something similar? I think it was maybe 7 or 8am he played it, but that's all I can remember. |

Yes..! I was about to meet you all, at the Zoo. But well, I had the some problems at that time, so I couldnt. Anyways, I was there, dancing as never; theres nothing similar here in Mexico.
And yes, I was not sure about thet times PVD played, but he rocked anyways. I had to woke up early for the Love Parade (and I did it) but I was still at the Columbiahalle. The best, besides music, were some pretty girls I was with, I hope I can go to Berlin the next year...! About NU-NRG, yes, they got repetitive. Their first track played was "Take your air" but they only played like an intro, not the entire track! The same went for all the rest, but Dreamland, they played this one like 10 minutes, I think... but.....
THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You damn Germans got a wonderful country!!!

We woke up at 8am on Friday, stayed for all of Love from Above, all of the Love Parade, and most of Lovestern Galaktika, in total nearly 50 hours without sleep :D
I got seriously sunburnt though and kept getting splitting headaches; by Galaktika I felt seriously ill and lied down in the chill-out room for quite a while. I was trying to get some sleep but somehow the boring progressive music in that room was keeping me awake! I had the occasional wander around but my skin hurt badly! Next year I'm taking some suncream!
I found another PVD set on the DC Hub which is 67MB big. It says it is from Love from Above, and it certainly isn't ripped from the 2 hour essential mix set :conf: It has some women announcing "fritz radio". I know fritz radio were at Cafe Schoneberg so it might be from his one hour set there. Can anyone confirm this?
I want to get as many Love Parade sets as possible and label them correctly, for the sentamental value ;) |

I got some clues here...
1) He played "Exor - Moonshine" twice in the night, one between 12-2 and again later after Nu-NRG. And this little set has it..! Maybe is one hour from his first set.
2) Well, I remember some tracks from that set, but some others I remember they werent there, such as "NU-NRG - Supasonic". So... Maybe I cant remember or something is wrong here.
3) Ah..! I just heard the track around the minute 30-33, and now Im sure its part of his first set!!!!!! I can remember perfectly. BTW, do you know which is this track??

OK so let me get this straight:
The 2 hour 'radio one' set is from 4:30am - 6:30am and the 67mb 'fritz radio' set is from sometime between 12 and 2am?
I'm not sure about the 30-33 mins track, but I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before. You are talking about the 67mb set right?
Can anyone do a list of the LP sets available? I want to get them all :D
So far I have:
Namito @ Love Parade pre-party 12-07-02
Paul van Dyk @ Love from Above (164mb radio one)
Paul van Dyk @ Love from Above (67mb fritz radio)
Takkyu Ishino @ Fritz Pre-party 12-07-02
Tunebrothers @ Love Parade pre-party 12-07-02
Hardy, Felix, Liebing, Klang - live @ Loveparade 2002
Miss Kittin, Hell, Sasha, Paul van Dyk - live @ Love Parade 2002
Azzido da Bass, Aran la-V, Dero, Blank & Jones - Live @ Love Parade 2002
Someone let me know if I've missed any out :p |

Yes, its about the 67 MB set. The track I was asking for seems to be "Vert - Sky", as is the same as the other big set. I remember have heard that track that night. And since I went to sleep when PVD was spinning "Tic Tac", then it must have been from his first set. I also remember Exor, and others which I dont know the name.
And about all the sets, thanx! I didnt know there was a Blank & Jones set floating around.

just wondering:
dick van nille - outside / stubby
sounds remarkably like
devil fish - man alive
might be a coincidence, i suppose. i heard the latter song first, which is why im wondering. ID error or music plagiarism? |
