They both are. It was Fetish Nation but it was a special event for them. Could probably tell since Ron Jeremy was there. lol. |

Yup! Cuz not everyone is on TA, FaceBook or My Space. Most people that I know or let know about the Circus events don't even bother with social networking. |

With that Said... I would like to Thank LMD for bring out Menno and letting him play for 3 hours!!!! I loved his set!!! We got to Circus a little later then normal so only caught about a 1/2 hour of Heatbeat.
It was nice to see a "Bigger" Dj play in the main booth again.. but the sound was really really bad that night. It sound really muffled where it typically sounds great. The sound was better in very back of the club where the other booth is some times used. There where parts of Menno's set that you could not even hear at all!
The production was weak as well.. The visuals where blah... the lights where blah.
It was a "slow" night for Menno and I am not sure why? I don't think it should have been. The last few times Menno has played here the club was pretty packed.
Maybe it was due to to the fact that Ferry played the night before.. but then again a typical party person does have the whole day Saturday to recover if you think about it. Maybe it was due to Easter being the next day... hince why we did not stay till 4... Don't get me wrong it was nice to have so much room to dance... but it would have been nice if there was the same amount of people there where there for Gareth. I think there would have been a little bit more energy actually a lot more energy.
Regardless I still had a great time Saturday!!

yeah... its tough. events like that you need multiple people promoting an event. Many times i was stuck out there by myself. really sucks |

Well, let me responded it was not slow we did 1000 people. Yes there was alot of pornstar, and Ron Jermey was there as well. Yes there were things you dont see at a trance party that you see at Circus, but this is why we are still here after 36 years, and still use the same name Circus. As far as promoting, no will were not at Ferry events, because as you know people dont tend to party two nights in a row, only die hard Menno would come to this night. Also LA is one of the most spoil market in the whole world. Where can you get top djs all in one week. Playhouse Mondays. Cinespace Tuesday, Thursday Sultra, Friday Control, Sat Avalon, Circus, Vangaurd, Music Box. and all the Raves. I think Circus is the only club that still make flyers. But hey "we can't be every where". So you are right we were not at Ferry but to say we dont do our job it is an Understatement. Within the last Year LMD has done some thing no one thought we can do? Our names speak for its self, ask booking agents, djs. and other promoters, you have no idea what we do in a week. We averge 8000 people every week, not just main event. 416,000 people a year. ask Mailia she will tell you what we do. Groovethursday, Shark Club Friday, V20 Friday, Arena Fridays, Sat Circus, Sat Shark, Sat Epic. Btw we print 2,500,000 flyers a year..

| Go, Circus! :) I actually thought there was a pretty good crowd in the main room last Sat night also. I have pics to prove it, but have been working 12+ hour days since getting back from Miami and have a lot going on outside of work as well. Hopefully I can somehow find time to post them up soon... |

Wow let me go look for my head....
Where did I say in my post that 1. you don't do your job??? Not getting anything Friday or Saturday after Circus doesn't mean you are not doing your job! HELLO I know it takes a lot of work and time to reach out using other medias.
2. I know what you guys do and have to go threw every week. There was a time when I had to contact manager's/booking agents play with numbers and play with dates to book with my partners at the time nights in Back room/ Main room. It is a lot of work!
And like I don't know that La is not the most spoiled in the world.. I talk to people from all over and they are always want what we have. They want to come here and experience it for themselves.
I know you guys can not be everywhere and I or no one expects that. Shoot I can't be out every night like I used to! I got bills to pay and work in an field where I need to be on top of my game every time I clock in.
And don't forget I was there when LMD first took over Saturday nights @ Circus. I was crossing my fingers,eyes, and toes that it would work out and Gene would not stop the night... Then all of a sudden it Did and Saturday nights at Circus became magical again.
Guys do not get me wrong. LMD is DOING AN AMAZING JOB!! Please keep doing what you are doing..and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep bringing these Trance acts that the other clubs won't probably bring.
