| Being in the US I really do have a hard time keeping up with worldly football. Why is it you hate Lothar Mattheus so much? The only teams I generally can't stand are Brazilian teams, we really get those pricks shoved down our throats here in the Americas. Of course, it didn't help that they won in '94 when we hosted the world cup. Leave it to the US to jump on the bandwagon of whichever team wins the world cup when we host. The only decent thing that happened that year for football is when I saw Bayern Munchen stomp on the US world cup team. It was even funnier when you consider the fact that Bayern's top players weren't there, as they were playing on the German world cup team :). |

its a damn shame too. i dont speak spanish and thats the only station on tv here that hosts any soccer...(to me..the only football...screw that helmet crap..get ya ass on the field and run u bunch of pansys..ok ok im sorry..i just really hate..and i dont usually ever ever use that word..american football..) whatsoever!! rarely is it in the paper at all. that spanish station is the only thing close...and lol the voice..lol..yeah but all i gotta say...if womens soccer was as huge as mens, or even carried some sort of relavance..not knockin it, its getting progressivly larger...then i most likely would not be sittin here at ma computer. i would be out fulfillin ma ultimate dream. :) |

womens football over here is pretty big, as far as womens footie goes anyway. The best womens team would be Arsenal ;)
as for germany being the home of football >>cough<< who invented it??? :p us :p and the brazilioans (although u hate them) are by far the best at playin the game. s dont come all german with me... btw, its only coz im english i hate the german football team..

Why I hate Lothar:
1. He is an
2. Playing pro-football at the age of 40 is not normal. He is obviously too stupid to train a club or he hasn't earned enough money in his career (the guy started playing in 1974, so he must have been really stupid when he signed his contracts).
3. He is the king of the Schwalbe (falling when nothing happens). When you touch Lothar for some reason he will instantly drop damn and scream as if he was hit by baseballbat.
4. He has my bicycle
5. He is German
6. He can play football |

Alright you frickin' wankers (and just how often do you get to argue football with someone from the US anyway?):
Tu_face: I never said Germany was the home of football. I merely said that they were the greatest football country :). This is an opinion; the last time I checked, most people think of their home country in europe to be the best at football. At least I'm not claiming that the US is the greatest, bahahaha. Now a days, we at least make it into the world cup. When we hosted in '94, there had never been a hosting team to lose in the first round. I was scared to death it was going to be us. Luckily Columbia liked scoring on their own net.

1. Maybe so, as I said I barely get coverage of the games, let alone any type of interviews to judge who the players really are. Of course, I can probably say that I wouldn't find him to be much an . I'm quite convinced that the US does have one thing up on Europe: We definately have the biggest athletes.
2. I see nothing wrong with playing a sport as long as you are competitive. Alot of players aren't playing solely for the money, and will continue playing as long as their bodies let them, just for the simple love of the game. This is like saying at 27 I shouldn't be listening to trance because I'm too old. If you think that, then screw you :).
3. I admit that I've never heard the term Scwalbe. As far as I know, the entire German team is quite adept at this maneuver, which is why everybody here hates the entire German team. Of course, I'd hate them too for it if I weren't such a fan :).
4. Learn to lock your bike up.
5. This is the most racist comment I've heard for quite some time. Thank you for showing off your superior intellect.
