I wonder if you can change the settings on frequency mix touch screen to emulate 4 eqs on a xone...hmmm |

Meh....
For the cost of what it'll probably be, I'd rather take a lemur. |

One thing to improve on the small screen is add some type of VGA connection on the back of the mixer. This way, whatever the small screen displays can be displayed on a bigger monitor so you can see it better. It does add another monitor to the booth but I think it could benefit. |
I think the problem with the size is not that you can't see it, it's that with the size of your fingertips, it doesn't provide a practically wide enough range for operation. What you could do with a knob (great control over how much you turn it, both in terms of speed and accuracy) might not be practically possible (i.e. a swipe with your finger might result in a much greater effect than you desired). |

I still want one of these:

but the DJM 2K seems worth looking into, as well. |

| I see a lot of annoying white noise effects in our future. |

hahaha.
while having the EFX options are nice, how many of us here really use them on a consistent basis i'm wondering?
i hardly, if ever, use them. |

I had effects on the DJM800.
I never used them.
I swapped it for the Xone 92.
I now miss the effects....... :conf: |

| I use effects. They can spice up your set and, in addition to track selection and mixing skills, can help differentiate you from all the other DJs who just play tracks (which is very important today when everyone and their dog is a "dj"), especially when playing live. I have heard wannabe DJs who overuse a certain type of effect and it's annoying as hell, though. Once in a while I'm guilty of giving the filters (and sometimes delay) too much attention :tongue2 love those things |
