udon or buckwheat soba noodles > that ....and they are just as cheap.

i made homemade kimchi mandu the other day nate, and put them in my homemade kimchi jjigae with added nappa cabbage and chinese yellow chives...i just discovered a local asian super (and when i say super i mean super, the thing is huge and has everything i miss from Seoul) market the other day.

they even had this:

which is the greatest snack ever....they also had other flavours like banana and strawberry...but this is what made the 47 degree celsius weather in south zipperland acceptable.

i was reading this and was thinking, "who the is this and how does he know my name" but then i got to the end and realized, "oh, it's just jay." lol

<3 kimchi chigae. and i actually had my buddy bring back merona when he was at the korean gorcery in chicago (h-mart) along with a few other odds and ends. there's this gummi candy that's not actually korean, but totally blows any other gummi candy out of the water, and they only stock them in asian groceries

My mother-in-law's noodles > his ramen

This was actually the cause of a minor argument between me and my fiancé. Every single time I visited her mother-in-law, the good old lady made me either soba or udon. Every single time, and I absolutely loved it! I'd gaily pig it out, as the noodles slurped, and I quaffed the soup like a Somalian bulimic model just back from rehab. And then my fiancée told her mother to stop making it so often, because she thought I was just being polite.

Wrath, that's what I felt. Wrath, fury, and ire
