That's not from Hercules Returns is it?? |
I think it's from a James Bond movie. Doesn't he die right after he says I'm invincible? |

Water shouldn't have a drastic effect on electronics unless there is power running through them at the time they get wet. Aside from rust/oxidisation as someone else mentioned, if things get dried out quickly you shouldn't have massive problems.
Theoretically, you could immerse any piece of electronic equipment in pure water and it will work perfectly under there. It's all the adulterants in water that conduct electricity and things up. |

well initially i was going to just pull the drive out and insert it into my gfs computer (that sounded wrong for a moment there) cos we has matching laptops (IBM T41/2s) and plug in an external drive and grab my off like that but i was more annoyed at the fact of spilling a whole fkn pint of water on the bloody thing and frying it like an egg on a saturday.
THE LAPTOP.. IT IS INVINCIBLE!! |

Don't expect it to work forever, the PCBs are likely to oxidize prematurely, likely outcome is that at the least the keyboard will need replacing in the not too distant future.
I learnt this when I dropped my mobile down the ter when pissed. Chucked it in the airing cupboard and hey presto it worked in the morning.
But it did't work for long. |
Exactly. Happened to me too, I was so ed off. |
