Sorry but I've been out of the EDM scene from roughly 2004 to 2006 and got back into it in 2007 when the Tri-State album was getting played out. I still listen to A State of Trance broadcasts. Is that 'hip' these days still or too commercial? Only two DJs/artists I been paying attention to are A&B & AvB, as well as catching up on Tiësto's ...Sunrise series. Nice to have it all in FLAC now instead of lousy MP3s. |

I think the name Trance Addict is misleading on this site, since it was created when trance was still okay to listen to. I don't know about all the 96,000 whatever members here, but I know a lot of people have moved onto tech house, deep house and the resurgence of disco :p
The fact that trance djs still dominate that silly top 100 DJs list blows my mind :wtf: |

Well unfortunately I happen to like the way trance sounds. I like its combo of melody, singing, beat, and pianos thrown in here & there, especially when on the highway. Interesting that you mention the resurgence of disco as I spent almost all of 2005 listening to 'Italo disco'. I hope your post was just a joke. If it is, I'd laugh. If not, I'm not sure how happy I'd be. It would make me nervous if such a big board doesn't like trance anymore because that would mean trance might not be made anymore not long from now, and I love the genre too much. What would I do without them OceanLab tunes? ;-) |

Likewise I hope the latter half of this post is a joke. Everyone knows about the great days of trance in the nineties but it fell off in early 2000s and has since gone to . I didn't know anyone even listened to it anymore besides nooblars, no disrespect intended :p |
