I wish I read more but as of late I'm probably averaging about 5, not counting anything read for school. I wouldn't mind doubling that over the next year.

More than five a year, but less than 10. Wish I had more time to read :(

I read a book a couple weeks ago. The last book I read I think was in 2006-2007. I read magazines though.

I read a ton in school. In fact, many of my classes required reading 1 book per week. Now that I have a job that takes all of my time and my subway commute is short...I just don't have time to read as much as I'd like. I might be lucky to do 6/year anymore.

I read a lot, barely any of it fiction though.

You know I actually like to read but I can never find books that I like, and am confused as to what type of books I like. I guess I'm just lazy about it.

The last book I read was God Hates Us All (lol) http://www.amazon.com/God-Hates-All...y/dp/1416598235

I really enjoyed that.

All of these in the last year.

If only books were a bit cheaper, I could read more then I do now. They've definitely gotten more expensive, I remember sometimes I would buy books at ~$6, but the average was $7. Now everything is $8+ and those are the the mass market paperbacks, any trade paperback will cost around $15! Then there are hardcovers, I don't care how much I want it I'm not paying $30 for a book.

I used to devour books in my teen years but after finding sex and booze that went to hell, LOL. This year I set a goal of reading at least 15 books, and so far I have read 3: "The Demon-Haunted World" and "Cosmos" by Carl Sagan and "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. I bought "Sleepers" by Lorenzo Carcaterra and "The Godfather's Revenge" by Mark Widegardner. Don't think I'm going to go through those in quite a while because I seem to be on a non-fiction reading binge these days. :p

I might meet my quota and more, since the Kindle was finally released for Mac. :)

At the moment, I am reading about 2,000 pages of scholarly articles per week. So, no books.

When I do get to read books, I prefer non-fiction.
