reading is for human beings who do not already have dreams and telepathic quantum thermionic transmissions altering space time as we know space time to current be.

BTW I hardly read books and if I read a book I scan the index for certain words to look up and read those high lights on specific words.

Past that I read wealths of information but most of it involves .pdf documents on random patents and other things like how a magnetic fields actually have a vortex.

soo ooooohhh

I hate the question as it is only generalized to those who read books;
no offense but in modern times books are merely the stepping stone for digital forms of written information

The books I'd be trying to read also require a strong grasp of chaos theory; fractals and dynamic systems, along with non-linear dynamic system.

I read abstract applied mathematical theories on physical systems.

Lately i've been looking for an interface with the quantum vacuum, or the Zero point energy field. ..

also I've been looking into how the big bang theory is incomplete along with how are universe is fractal in nature.

Can't really answer that since alot of my reading has to go for my studies (great volume and difficult asd hell), so I guess individual reading varies alot. IAt the moment I read 2-3 books.

Is There Life After Death? (Anthony Peake)
The Gay Science [Die fröhliche Wissenschaft] (Nietzsche)
On the Summits of Despair [Pe Culmile Disperarii] (Emil Cioran)
Acton
I haven't read a fictional book in about 10 years.

But I read plenty of educational material. This week alone, I have read three books on Sales & Operations Planning, one book on Strategic Planning and a thesis on Quantum Entanglement.

Everything I read is basically for my degree. When I can afford the time I like to read Paul Theroux. He is such an elegant writer, an absolute pleasure to read. I actually take about a year to read one of his books but the way they are written fully allows for this - it's the kind of thing you can stop and easily pick up again where you left off.

I voted 10-20. I might beat 20 with many shorter ones in a good year, but usually there's some 800+ pages monster among them that keeps me busy for a while. I read fiction exclusively, mainly because I know everything better than the philosophers, pop-scientists, political analysts or self-help gurus that write non-fiction.

Average 5-6 books per year, could be more, could be less, depends if I have time.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this does not include the books I have to read for the university.
