It's already legal for me. You can get a recommendation for 45 buck's in LA. I rather weed stay legal for medical not recreational use and let collective open.

I'm not sure if there's a designated place to sign it near Queen Anne (at least, I think that's where you said you lived), but there are one or two on Capitol Hill the next time you're up this way.

Right now I'm at my house, which is near Ballard; going back to university, which is on Queen Anne, next week. Hopefully I can make my way over to Capitol Hill one of these days and give it a sign.

Not that it really matters that much anymore. The new DA threw out every case that was just involving marijuana. I doubt a cop would even arrest you for it now.

Did you know that in 2003, Seattle passed a bill that made possession the lowest priority for police officers? Basically, unless you're being a moron, they cannot arrest you or fine you for having marijuana. This, however, really just depends on the neighborhood you're in. You're more likely to be given a hard time if you're in Belltown or Pioneer Square, but on Capitol Hill they treat it almost as though it's "legal". I can't tell you how many times I've walked past beat cops smoking a joint while they just smile, nod and walk by. I wouldn't dare test that in any other area, though.

Its not that they can't arrest you Jake, they will probably NOT arrest you. Don't ever assume they CANT arrest you.

I chose my wording wrong, but yes, that is correct.

it's not a religious thing really. religious people are just highly amenable to any sort of rhetoric that spells danger for the status quo so they make natural pawns in every policy issue. the real opposition comes from the private prison industry which has been enjoying exponential growth ever since reagan began his pseudo war on drugs. you'll find this lobby plays the same hand in every issue surrounding crime, but especially when it comes to drug offenses.

Yeah I did. ing love it. Jay-walking is a higher priority for them. No cop will bother arresting you for it, since you'll never really get in trouble for it in the court. It's a complete waste of our tax dollars and police time to bother with it. You'll only get in trouble for it if you do something else illegal and they find out you had been smoking or have weed on you or something like that.
