Yes I think they give Armada a good match when it comes to releasing most . They seem to release any garbage from bedroom producers. |

| While that is true that they release a ton of garbage (and then throw out a ton of compilations with the same damn classics on them every month), they do have quite the back catalog of great stuff and I think it's ing fantastic that they got Platipus. Will allow the songs to live on, which is the important thing ;) |

Yes, they have a great back catalogue but it doesn't really help as they just release the new and most of the back catalogue gems aren't available digitally even though they've been saying that "it's coming soon" for years. So I dunno what good then getting Platipus will do.
I've been waiting for Bonzai to release "Green Martian - Computer Weekend" digitally for years and years. I've lost all hope of ever seeing it released. |

True. They've released probably about half of the back catalogue, but there is still a ton of gems that have yet to see the digital light of day.
Still, some day!
I'm still taking this as good news. They're not a horrible label and people will once again be able to buy Platipus stuff :) |

A lot of the Bonzai and its sublabel back catalogue they have released over the last couple of years are butchered edits like what they have on most of their CD releases or reissued 12"s, not the full length tracks which were available only on the original 12"s.
Marnik has been telling me for ages he's working on getting the whole Bonzai back catalogue into the digital world and released.. we'll see whether that'll happen. Personally I'm still waiting for the full ~10 minute version of Indoctrinate - Feeling You to get released digitally.
At least there won't be too many physical releases available from them anymore as they're concentrating fully on digital releases and have actually sold most if not all of their old vinyl stock to a single buyer/collector.
So if you're waiting to grab a physical Platipus reissue on Bonzai, you better forget it right now and head to discogs or ebay instead. |

I hate edits  They really piss me off so much.
They sold everything to one person? Wow.. Person must have a huge collection!
Yeah, I've noticed their store for a while for physical releases will be "coming soon," so I figured it wasn't going to help me any in my search for Platipus physical copies. I'll have to just keep on going through Discogs when I have some money :) |

Just posted on Facebook
Bonzai Music: | quote: | | The first backcatalogue releases of Platipus, Hook and Bellboy will be available on all major portals from this week on. Mind that Platipus will continue it's releases under the new label Porcupine (good choice Simon). |

So Bonzai bought Hook / Bellboy now, too? Those releases have been up for a while, but only on juno, not on Beatport or iTunes. Interesting news. |
