I have a real tough time getting into club nights these days if the club doesn't have good sound. I would say well over 50% of my love for music comes directly from my love for sound in general.

I actually enjoyed Shine this year. I went last year for Sander, the music was great... the club was driving me insane. Packed and the sound was really crappy at times.

Saw Sasha this year and I enjoyed it so much more. Maybe because it was finally seeing Sasha again, but I found the sound to be pretty good this time. Got the highs and mids much more than last year.

Now... Sasha... chuggy, dark... twist of melodies... just the way I like to see the man. It was certainly worth the wait for my Sasha solo set once again. He was spot on.

Got really tired around 5 and left... to find out afterwards the party went on for two more hours and Lee and Dj Three jumped on the decks with Sasha... Saw Sasha at SSFD the next day and he re-confirmed the triple b2b2b to me and made sure to let me know that the party kicked it up a couple notches after 5...

My super fail of the conference.
The Highroller
This was one of my favourite moments of the whole conference. Seth played this tune at Get Lost and Sunday School:

barbina
when he dropped it at SSFD it was the first time I stood up and danced after lounging for the entire day.

Glad to hear you really enjoyed Sasha, the way you described it sounds like it would have been freakin' great!

Sucks to miss that b2b2b though :(

Lindsay wen back to the Victor on Saturday while I spent the day with some friends on the beach, and sure enough, Burridge showed up and threw it down :( Damn it! :whip:

Speaking of DJ Three, I was so impressed by him! He plays the sketchiest music I've ever heard, but it was ing awesome.

Our conversation went something like this...

Me: "I mean this in the most complimenting way possible because I think what you're playing right now is incredible, but it's the sketchiest music I've ever heard in my life"
Three: "hahahaha...Sketchy haha... ... ... Drugs."

He got back to mixing and layed down the filthiest, sketchiest stuff ever. It was kind of scary. :nervous:

I think his set from unit, Tokyo is as close to sketchiness we heard on the rooftop that you're gonna get.
