I might go, not sure yet.

Its a new club, i haven't been to it yet. But from everything i have seen and heard it looks pretty good. There have been some good reviews on here for the club, minus the crowd size for Halliwell everything i have heard is good

Insomniac probably means anything goes. Including rave hos

Yes. The bigger clubs in LA (Circus, Avalon, Music Box, Vanguard etc) don't really have any kind of dress code for their dance nights. I'd say as long as you're not in shorts and flip flops you're ok.

no dress code.. but i do know.. no funky ish.. like furry jackets and stuff.. glowsticks is a no-no btw..

No set dress code as other large venues. Feel free to dress comfortable but please be presentable...use common sense and dress to impress! You may be turned away if you come in tattered or dirty clothing, not enough clothing, flip flops, dirty or wreaking of offensive odors, etc.

Also, no glowsticks or any other light show gadgets allowed.

So on Sander K night security was eyeing the crowd and selectively letting people in.

No one showed up for Halliwell. (prob because a lack of an announcement + good promotion time)

No show at last week.

This week's lineup was announced...what, end of last week? And doors open at 11:30pm. (it should instantly draw more people than halliwell, but the late notice for the date and all once again could hurt)

There's some major issues going on with the consistency for launching a new weekly I must say. Groundwork has to be laid and traction has to be gained. And it's hard w/o being consistent.

Hopefully things get worked out and the night starts taking off! Doesn't help the scene if this night struggles!

***this post is of my own accord and not reflective in any way whatsoever with any associations or friendships I may or may not have with various other clubs, promoters, etc...if ya think it does, ur issue not mine. All in your head!***

I went for a coupla hours before heading to Avalon when Sander K was at Music Box. Dress was def more upscale, I felt a little uncomfortable wearing my tshirt there (even tho it had a Bedrock logo...)

Think I'll wear one of my short sleeve Ben Sherman shirts this time, it's British you know! :D

from what i observed.. the staff at musicbox (from the waitress/bartender to inside security) are by far the nicest i have ever seen in my entire clubbing career

Cause they are prob all new and a bit excited still. Let's see how things are in 60 days. :p

The staff there could be amazing in the end. But I've seen happy staffs go sour real fast in the past, hehe.

They also had real cranberry juice last time I was there. I HATE that artificial cranberry substance that Avalon sprays from the spigot, tastes like cough syrup. If I want vodka and Robitussin, I'll hit up the local drug store, not a nightclub! :wtf:
