Run more often, the calves will be like "whatevs, we do this all the time."

Hot/cold showers. Needs to be at least 30 seconds of cold, followed by a good 2 minutes of hot.
Also, if you cramp up a lot especially in the back, try some magnesium supplements.

Then add it to your resume.

Good thought. Will, it's clear that you need to suck on your Mums breasts.

heat dude. sit in a hot tub. that'll help stretch out the muscles. this can go for any one; not just your calves.

I jog/run somewhat regularly.. just the distance was longer than usual about between 12 km or about 7 miles and 17 km or 10 miles or so, no marathon though. sorta slow at times though, and I had to look around a park for keys that dropped out of my pocket so I had a little rest time.

Yeah I need to keep my jogging to a maximum of no more than 3 times per week not counting short warmups or minute sprints as my knees are getting older now. I try to mix things up with biking and swimming for cardio when possible.

A 3 mile run ain't too bad and is around my regular jog/run.
