I know right? The whole time it was like a task to try to pin point the leads in Giuseppe's set as well as John's because, like you said, all the system was just BOOM BADA BOOM BADA BOOM.

This was my first time seeing Armin, and after all these years I prefer PvD more. I was near the front of the stage most of the night and the sound was quite muffled. I was also bummed there was not a lazer since every PvD show there has had an insane lazer show. I really like the insane rave feel lazers can add to a show. I caught the beg of Lange's set and stayed through Armin. Highlights of the night were Lange playing 'Under Pressure' and 'Happiness Happening', Giuseppe playing 'We Are One' , 'Our Dimension', and 'Out Of The Blue 2010', and finally Armin playing His 'Faithless Remix', 'PvD - NY City' and ending with 'Solar Stone - Seven Cities' (which I requested and I'm sure other people did too).

I listened to a few hours of the first night online. I caught maybe Rank 1's last track, so couldn't really comment on his set. I REALLY liked Armin's though. I listened to the full 2 hours, and by the end, he was playing some huge tracks.
I listened to about 30 minutes of Menno before turning him off. I didn't dislike what he played, but he took things down quite a few notches from where Armin left off. Did he end up building it back up later in his set?
Looks like the night was a huge success though. Kind of bummed I didn't go...

woah, you were there too. I didnt even know you were still around. I was just going through the collection of PVD flyers you gave me years ago and I was like I wonder what ever happened to him.
Anyhow, there was no lasers for pvd on new years at roseland either.

++1. Could barely ID tracks for the first 3 minutes because it was just one big staticky muffle of bass.
