I don't think anyone said his set sucked, I just thought it was cheesy and fluffy.

Montreal likes hard dirty trance.

no wonder , I were having the time of my life when Ferry dropped Ligaya, Synaesthesia, Out of the blue, etc, and then took a look around me and the crowd reaction was a bit meh... , like 1/10 of the energy of ASOT 450 despite having a much bigger crowd.

The crowd gradually got better in Markus set thou.

very well, some thoughts as i remember them:

We arrived at the room around 2pm after Oz had been asleep approx 1hr. Jay was getting ready to leave and shouted at Oz to get up before he 'punched him in the '. Oz rolled out of bed onto the floor and bounced off the wall with a cry of "bonjourno!" where he lay for a few minutes.

Gradually he got to his feet (a temporary state for the first 15 minutes) and sauntered into the living room of the junior suite. mumuring random sentiments, mostly indecipherable as one speaking in tongues, he began inching back and forth between the lamp and the TV table.

Vince texted Jay:

"How's Oz doing LOL"

as he then proceeded to fall through the standing lamp and into AMK. he arose slowly.

back up with his thumbs in his belt loops, his little feet were stepping back and forth and side to side like a linedancer. for some reason he was sure his bag needed to be ready to pass through customs so after trying in vain to establish where he thought he was it was decided it was easier just to with him for our amusement by convincing him he was going back home to kentucky.

attempting to pick some items from the coffee table he bent forward only to stumble backwards, spin around and headbutt the plasma screen TV. collapsing to the couch he was eventually resurrected to put on his socks (located in the bathroom) and leave.

heading down to the concierge to check-out he did an excellent job of confusing the situation for the poor girl working the afternoon shift and was forcibly removed from the front desk by Jay to allow the transaction to be completed.

as we headed down to the ATM for jay to pickup cash we managed to convince a bewildered Oz that he hadn't seen Sied play, instead Above and Beyond and Yoji had been added to the bill and we were going back to catch the end of his set and say goodbye to Sied which he acknowledged was important for him to do.

insisting on returning to the room for his vaseline we assured him he had already used the whole bottle and now was his time to go, bid farewell and he departed with Jay.

Oz's exact words just before leaving were:

"i'm actually a bit confused as to what's going on right now"

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

highlight of the night - the two guys at the end of markus's set who jumped in front of the barrier and started bowing to him for a few seconds until security caught up with them!

Arrow Hall is an old airplane hanger in Mississauga. It's been used as a venue for Daft Punk and Tiesto. It's one big massive warehouse space. It's an amazing venue. I wish it was used more often actually.

Great review. Glad you had fun, and even more glad that SOMEONE stayed until the end. Good job. ;)

Bal en Blanc really is something every partier in Canada should experience at least once.

I'm not surprised you didn't like Morales. Knowing the kind of music you hate, I don't think liking a Morales set is possible for you lol (he plays LOTS of diva vocals).

Also, Montreal parties are definitely as sketchy as Toronto parties. You must have been wearing dark sunglasses. :p

Actually Ali and I stuck it out till 10:30 an hour into his set and he played no vocals unfortunately...came on the decks at 9:30, took off his beater at 9:40 and lit a ciggy at 9:45am....he played a total of 2 good tracks...I left at 10:30 cause i couldn't dance to what he was playing!

I think I learned my lesson. When thirsty, Vodka is not a substitute for water LOL!

uhmmm well....I also have a drunk ass Oz story ...here it goes

I decided to check my fb from my bb while Morales was just hitting the decks...saw Oz post something about "pineapples and vodka at 9am"

I replied " Drunk ass"
Oz writes "are you still here"
I sent him a text "Yes I am"
Oz writes "where are you, I'll come find you"
I write "House room, right side (when you walking towards) before the go fast booth"
Oz writes "I'm right Veronica"
I write "Whatev"
Oz writes "I'm trying yo find ya"
I write "House room"
Oz writes "Ah ok"

I then turned around and saw Oz stumbling towards me and Ali with a glass of something, he hands me over the glass and apologizes, "sorry i got you a drink but some of it spilled on my way here" I look at him, take the drink, take a sip, and spit it out hahahah IT WAS ALL VODKA maybe a drop of oj :whip: :whip: But i was so thirsty that I ended up drinking it all :eyes: Oz says ok i'll be back in a bit ...turns around and stumbles to some other location lol.
