Your point is wrong, though. What he's saying is that most "interesting" people on this forum (or at least, most of the people nominated as such in this thread) are only interesting through virtue of being pathological. Take away their compulsive lying, their massive neuroses or their straight-up bat craziness and they wouldn't be notable. He's claiming that Jenny is actually interesting for reasons other than having some utterly obvious personality problem.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t equate interesting with eccentric as done in the OP. the most interesting posters tend to be the more normal. People like arbiter or system-j (and yes, even you hal you conflicted emo hippy nihilist).
The bat insane ones, ala ********, kismet, culorut, trancer-x are only interesting if you’re into psyche or psychiatry.

I often wonder what some people's conversation skills in here would be like in real life. Guys like Lira and Hal who can articulate very well and have a broad scope of knowledge on things, that is.

Haha, you'd either have to wait for me to sit for a while and work on my thoughts or deal with a very excited Lira gesticulating frantically and speaking somewhat loud about himself in the third person.
