For the Push The Night debut we're kicking things off proper with an evening of dark and dirty techno music. Hidden beneath the floors of Stay lies one of the city's best kept secrets, and a haven for those who seek musical refuge. Tonight we make our mark on the underground by exploring the sounds of techno and tech house pioneered by artists such as Umek, Dubfire, Manuel de la Mare, Spektre, and more. This is techno with a kick, combining the genre's trademark tension and energy with an injection of house influence for good measure. Let the night begin.

| What kind of music does the upstairs play? Top 40 stuff? I'd like a place I can bring my friends so they can listen to their cheese crap and I can sneak downstairs for some proper beats. I thought you were more house and not techno. Either way, sounds good to me :cool: |

i think the idea is that each party will have a different theme, so for this night it's techno. then later on different genres such as house, trance, etc.
really exciting stuff :) |

Couldn't have said it better myself! I play all types of different sounds and these parties are really meant to be an exploration of each. I will definitely have a house night coming up soon (along with trance and prog etc..), and within each genre I'd also like to focus on a different feel every night to make them unique. The parties are based on my podcast with the same model (and name), so be sure to check that out to get a better idea of what these will be like. Hope to see you there!
Oh and btw Stay plays a lot of the Top 40 stuff upstairs in the lounge so it should be a good spot to accommodate both sides :) |
