How's it look?
http://betastoredirect.com/index.html
Just got it up and running today. I just have one product up to start off with, and ZERO traffic. I've got a lot of work ahead of me but I know it's going to work out if I put the work in. I have done almost $2000 in sales in just the last week or two on ebay and amazon so this is me expanding my frontiers. |

Looks pretty tidy. It could look a bit flashier, but there's plenty of time for that later.
What shopping cart software did you use? Is it a Yahoo thing? |

Seems like a bad deal, imo.
$100 for the TI-84? |

| You could improve the design a bit, I'd be wary to buy something from that website. |

I have A LOT of work in front of me. I wanted to start off simple so I went with a basic template. My www.finance.com is host by yahoo small business, and so I just opened another website with yahoo small business, but this time with merchant account status.
Lews, I did a simple search on amazon and ebay and that seems to be the going rate. I do also provide the option to buy used if you click the product.
I need to write an intro paragraph explaining I sell both new and used. Also trying to get my payment system at a place where I get paid immediately so I don't have to keep much inventory. I just buy whatever is ordered AFTER it is ordered. Not have to spend money ahead of time to stock up a whole bunch of stuff not even sure it's going to sell. I think the term is "drop-shipping". |
No, drop shipping is where you sell an item (say, like on your site), take the money for it, take your cut, and place an order with another company that ships it directly to the customer on your behalf. |

Drop shipping can be good, but only if you have a reliable supplier. If they suck (eg. slow shipping times, or poor communication etc.) then it's your reputation that will cop the hit, not really your suppliers. You also run the risk of losing repeat business, as your supplier is likely to make sure the customer knows where the goods came from (flyers, discount vouchers etc).
A lot of people do it though, and make good money from it for all sorts of things. |
