Ah, really enjoyed this, great mix as usual. Was full of a lot of spacey sounds, which I'm a sucker for, so I was quite happy. Flow was great, nice build up on through the end and it suited the music perfectly. I'll probably snag a few tracks outta here, been getting more into drum n bass and this whole set is full of great recommendations.

Keep at it, excited to see what you cook up without doing a straight genre set.

//yeah, this will most likely be the soundtrack to my finals week.
Mr Game+Watch
I've been searching for a D&B mix like this for years. Extremely lush and melodic music, harkened back to the old days of Good Looking, my absolute favorite kind of D&B. Didn't notice any hiccups with the mixing either. It already got 2 plays from me yesterday, and will probably get quite a few more today.

Though I'm a bit saddened to hear that this is your last "genre mix", but I hope you will still continue to mix, you're great at digging up amazing songs.

Thanks for the good words, guys. Game+Watch, david.michael, 19503... those were exactly the kind of responses I was hoping for. This set was intended for people who don't really listen to jungle or who have fell out of love with it.

Really enjoyed this one Jack.

As with some of the others who have posted, I rarely, if ever, listen to Drum & Bass or that sort of thing, but this was great.

Like your other sets this one was just filled with beautiful atmospheric tracks that I loved, and it was cool to see that being pulled off well even though it was a different genre than I usually listen to.

I hope that even if you do go all Holden on us :p, you won't stop making genre mixes. Every one you make is amazing in terms of track selection, mixing, and programing.

Looking forward to more of your mixes :)

Loved this. Nice flow and build up. Season Of Descent is ace. I had some doubts about the direction you went into after that at first, but it made more sense after I gave it a better listen.

Thanks Jack, I will definitely give it more listens.

This is the sort of DnB I've been jonesing for with so much I've heard, lately, being the buzzy, clunky, cluttered, yet decidedly minimal AK1200 fair. This was much more the DJ DB style I tend to get into - especially while driving. Thanks. Excellent work, mixing, too.

So I took a listen. Kind of.

I decided to download this for my trip, figuring it'd make a nice soundtrack while on the 7-hour bus ride. However, in my hurry to leave, I ended up forgetting my headphones, which is a remarkable feat in my case, but no sense getting into reasons for it here.

Anyhow, purchasing some 'phones is an absolute must for the trip back, but I don't want to waste money on 'em when I already have two great sets at home. I decide to go as cheap as I can stand (about $20):

Yeah. No bass with these, sadly. And on a bus, ain't no way I can crank it without pissing off the little old ladies.

But y'know what? That don't matter, cause this set's mostly all about snazzy rhythms and blissy melodies, which came through quite nicely. Looking forward to hearing this on some proper Senns a little later.

Jack, I loved this set which surprised me because I felt really kind of burnt out on dnb of late; when Lews referred me to the set on last.fm I was a little hesitant to even bother. I'm glad I did. Good track selection, good flow. Thanks for sharing.

:D

If I get excited about another genre I'll make another genre mix. Recently I got very excited about this kind of drum 'n bass and when I was finding these tracks my thought was "The guys on TA will love this ", hence this mix. I'm very pleased with the responses, especially from everyone who was a little bored of drum 'n bass or who didn't listen to it before. If people didn't like the music I played I wouldn't keep posting sets, so thanks to everyone.
