1. where are all the mods when we need them or talking about them?
2. me and my friends used to shoot pigeons from those innocent airguns that shoot little plastic balls that don't even hurt. but that was like 5 years ago and we did it because the pigeons were annoying the crap out of us - like sitting on the windows and, damn, what's the word? chirping (?) loudly and ting on the windows, those little bastards |

Ok....
The thread was about `Black Widows` and the bird was just a small part of the thread. I just wanted to chill out in the chill out room and discuss `Black Widows`. So can we talk about them here ?
Hey, I balgged the corner shop wich is atleast 150m today from my garden. The shop keeper was coming out and looking about but i was hid behind a tree, sweet or what, he he. |

update: damn i m too tired and 2morrow i ve got another final (monetary theory)
Maybe then u'll understand that birds are not "shootable stuff" but a living being that has feelings blah blah...
Anyway, my macaw can speak some w0rdZ.. he can even answer the phone ("¿Helo?")... and he flyies a lot.. he loves to fly around!!!

(Ps: Well, I admit this is a kind of stupid post... but I really have a macaw and its kewl;))
Oh about that "this site is for music" post.. c'mon?? have u seen the other threads in the Chillout..? half of them have nothing to do with music. |

I think there needs to be some mod rotations where different people get to be mods. For some mods, having the power to push buttons and rule over others is a hobby and pleasure. Some dont have a sense of humour, take things too seriously and suppress those who are simply stating the truth or their own opinion. Whether someone's opinion is right or wrong does not matter.
I read the other topic and found it quite amusing until i read a post with red writing, where that person suffering from PMS decided to close the thread because he/she felt that the thread opposed their personal opinion.
Please, a mod rotation would be a lot better. having mods in power, like having politicians in power too long allows them to seek out interests of their own instead of those interests of the community. |

K ill defend the mods here, i too agree with you that too many threads get closed, i personally wouldnt have closed the bird shooting thread, out of taste yes, i would have let it go and let people say their anger towards the guy who shot it.
Mod practices have been discussed before but let me be blunt for a second -
-We close a thread, someone doesnt like it
-We leave a thread open, someone doesnt like it
-We edit a offensive/too large sig to keep the clutter down and 56k friendly, then the sig owner gets mad
-We leave the sig there, people get mad with offensive/too large sigs
Whatever we do, someone will not like it, and recently no1 has been thinking about us, its "i dont like what that mod did, lets have a go" well dont, we spend our time trying our best to keep these forums good, and whatever decision we make, we upset someone. So it would be nice, if in future if u see a bad decision , dont shout off about it, because just because u dont agree, others might. Same in x months time, u may see a discion that you agree with, but someone else wont. We all basically have to take the good with the bad, thats life im afraid. Im not saying "we all have to keep quiet and let the mods do what they like" im saying simple decisions we make we shouldnt have to have a massive 'justification' post. If something is majorally wrong, then say so, but im sure you would get mad, as are the mods having to justify every thing we do or every sig we edit. Esp sigs, every time we toutch one of them, we come back and theres a smutty remark left for us. (ps - the 'sig was removed as it was deemed offensive is the standard line which swamper set if we click suspend sig, we didnt make it up (because alot have complained about that also))
