lol listen to classic uk garage and 2 step (even some grime) and tell me dubstep is new.:p

as a dub fiend, check discogs for oldies...they are better than 99% of the today.

Maybe not total Garage, but this Morales Dub kills me

MTV really stands for Morales, Tenaglia, Vasquez. that holy trinity is divine.

they both have their own merits (well i could do without the uk style chipmunk pitched up vocals most of the time) and if you want a set to be awesome i say pick the best of both worlds.

i tend to post a bit more of the uk style stuff and 2 step, because it is one of the rare genres in edm that i listen to often that isn't four to the floor all of the time...

UK Garage is decent but NY Garage House is the reason why gay men were inspired to do each other in the 90's

thanks for letting me discover Xs - Phantasy Tribe in your garage set, matt. best track I ever heard. and it doesnt even need a rolling baseline or sidechain.

I always wonder why 2-step had such a short and locally-centered lifespan... especially compared to dubstep (pretty worldwide and has been huge for years now). Too ahead of its time, I guess?

absolutely amazing set by junior vasquez from january 1995. this was from like a month before sound factory closed. sometimes I wish I was a bit older than 21. those sound factory gigs seemed impeccable.

this record is $45 on discogs and it's still worth the money.

Thanks for the set. Don't have too much Vasquez live sets. I have his 'Junior Vasquez Vol. 2 Mix Comp. But these live sets are just amazing; better than any commercial mix. Thanks again.
