Impressive. 
My music collection got the best of me ages ago. I couldn't remember what was good and what not so good. Also finding the good ones or the ones I wanted to play at that moment quickly was a tedious task. I've got everything sorted now though and I couldn't be happier. I can just hit play and have great music playing for 15 days if that's what I want. No need to skip tunes because they're crap. Also I'm in the process of sorting them out by genre, so if I want to chill out and put some chill-out on i can do it in 1 second etc. :eyespop: |

Amarok (Linux)
It supports this thing called labels, which are basically tags (in the Web 2.0 sense) for music. When I say tags, I'm not talking about ID3 tags. Tags are a really powerful way to sort music because if you tag things religiously you can quickly build playlists from intersections of your tags via smart playlists or similar.
I tag my music with the various moods or feelings that I personally react to the music with, so I can easily build a playlist that is the intersection of my 'favorite' and 'sleep' music, or my 'favorite' 'breaks' and 'work' music. Tags are basically sets of music, whereas playlists are lists of music.
Does anybody else use software that supports tagging (again.. not in the ID3 sense, the Web 2.0 sense)? Last.fm supports tagging and normalizing music but I haven't seen any desktop client that integrates well with this. |

Same. I just use whatever pops up. The rest is analysed by Serato anyway so not an issue. |

| foobar with Xchange theme. Extremely flexible when it comes to configuration and tailoring the player to your own needs. Despite that I'm not certain it's that superior to Winamp or WMP as it's often claimed, because I haven't used them regularly for ages. |
