Pffft. It's been done.

Like the consumer throngs pay for originality these days! PFFT!

Speaking of the well-composed lack of originality... and my apparently being NIN guy... What's with Trent's new ? I'm all for ripping off Coil's music, because there's almost nothing you can do wrong there, but straight up taking a name of their song for your ing girl band? off, Tranky.

:stongue: :stongue:

I was listening to some show on the radio last weekend and apparently Carlos Santana was quoted as saying that there's no such thing as career comebacks - that music is not about entertaining but touching people, therefore comebacks are irrelevant.

I guess someone should tell that to Trent Reznor? Lololol.

Kind of rich coming from Santana, an incredibly talented musician who has probably never actually made a good song somehow. :stongue:

It's also somewhat ironic given that he has been known for blasting old s like Gene Simmons, for what he saw as just pathetically riding the gravy train of his own stardom. Not that he's wrong or something.

His wifey is on vocals this time around and he's just still twiddling the knobs on his ridiculously expensive equipment. I am all for Trent jerking off on a synth because that's probably what he is happiest doing - and it totally shows through the quality of his work - but he has never been a humble enough person in the face of his influences, if you ask me. Maybe I am just being an uninformed twat here, and I still adore almost anything the guy touches, but after all of the straight-up ripping off he has done of other artists, and some of the abhorable covers he's done the line begins to blur (teeee-heeee) where Bowie, Coil, Skinny Puppy and a variety of others have contributed to his music without a direct hand in it. I dunno, I guess Sleazy remixed his stuff a few times, but cmon. How To Destroy Angels was its own ing EP, I believe. Surely it would be lame as if some wanker named his band 'The Fragile'?

Yeah whatever, I'd still him. :toocool:

Yeah, but you'd a door if it complimented you.
Silky Johnson
I wouldn't, but lol just the same.

, you're right - I forgot who I was talking to. You'd a door if it spit in your hair and told you that your flatulence was weak. The juice must flow!
MGT
:haha:
