Ok I may get some heat for this but last wknd I went to Pacha and was slightly annoyed with these dance circles. I saw a group of guys doing capoiera and you can tell they practiced this before going, so now your dance space gets smaller all for the ego's of these dance circle dudes. Im all for self expression but come on- doing back flips 5 times in a row isnt even dancing to me its more like a gymnastics routine. Then we were downstairs and the dancefloor isnt even packed and ppl are trying to get things started- not being wallflowers. Next thing you know 4 guys start to tell everyone to get off the floor so we can see another lame capoiera show- come on- I came to dance not be a fan of your back flips and fake fighting dance. Hey its one thing when diff people are going in and out of the circle- but when its just 4-5 guys who just want to show off there moves - gimme a break. So blast me if you want- but get over yourself and find a spot on the side and if ppl are truly interested they will come to you. Whew that felt good. Screw your dance circles- you sweaty bastads lol.

Well, being that Marcos was the first time you went out... I think you are a bit premature about your assumptions about clubbin. This doesn't happen at every club, nor is this the only "type" of circle that occurs, that being said your comment "Screw your dance circles" might be too general of a statement.

you try to mess up my dance off circle i'll kick your dog son

Yes I was one person keeping on dancing backwards to break up there circle. It really doesnt stress me out but its just lame- esp. in the context that they were doing it.

Euphoria- I hear what your saying and Im sure DJ+ Loc= a certain result regardless, so I wont generalize. I plan on hitting more spots as soon as time permits- I def. want to hit another spot/ smaller spot- or see Boris at Pacha - is Pacha very diff depending on the Dj? vibewise? I really want to see Boris since WMC he hit a nerve for real- and im trying to chase the horse lol (just a figure of speech-relax)

that's what i'm talkin about...that's the whole reason you go to clubs you new schoolers know nothing! bring it back old school, let's soul train baby

I think thats where ppl get it wrong - very few ppl actually care about your dance skills, and how long you can stay in a hand stand, or back/front flip. I actually find the really sober newbie touristy type ppl actually clapping and giving a damn. Dont get me wrong a great dance set is cool to watch for a moment- but then to have to watch 5 other ppl with similar moves it gets old. I dont mind small circles- even a true battle circle has its appeal-but most of the times - the circle is way too big and the moves way to technical, choreographed or just plain over the top.

There is no room for a soul train line with EM- dont burden our fun with your need to show off. A dance circle is similar to a circle jerk - find a corner and have your circle all over each other. hee hee.
