maybe a megaphone/ air horn indicating time to move your butts from the parking lot to the boat? Most don't head to the line-up until the majority seem to move. |
best idea in the entire thread. |

Late departures are not always the fault of the promoters/boats. |
Don't care. Find a way to fix it, or I'm not wasting any more money.
And I think I speak for many people here when I say that. |

agreed...if you're late too bad....come again the next week....
sure some of the late departures are not always promoters faults but I'm willing to bet that the majority are...
overall boatcruise season should be fun...maybe I'll go on a dirty cycle cruise this year...
So far its looking like Beats Ahoy, BBS and Canada day with Calderone (also beats ahoy) are looking good to start. |

How do the promoters lose money if people don't board, exactly? Aren't the majority of the tickets bought before hand? Pretty shoddy business to rely on people paying at the dock, isn't it?
ing leave without the cunts. Why is the world always waiting for the slow ing morons?? |

Maybe if 100 people were waiting the last 5 min to board and they weren't let on the promoters think they'd lose out long term for those 100 ppl.
Toss up between losing out on 100 people by not letting them board when they're late OR losing out on way more by leaving on time, cutting down on the idiots etc etc.
For me the answer is obvious.
(I haven't been to a summer cruise mostly b/c they're on Sundays...when I work an earlier shift one of these days I will check it out.)
btw: allo Jennie! :) |

You said it! I do understand Activate's point of view. He doesn't want to disappoint people because he wants them to return.
But at the same time people are aware and are told "Arrive early or risk Missing Departure" simple as that! and don't complain/ask for a refund because you didn't follow simple instructions.
To me, it seems like the best method is to just lie about the departure time so that everyone is there early and gets on board. This way, the cruise leaves on time and everyone enjoys the full cruise time. However, I'm sure people will still complain once they realize that the promoter lied about the actual departure/cruise time. People seem to complain no matter what you do lol
I say just take off right at departure time and if you ain't on the boat, too damn bad...
I love the siren/horn/megaphone idea though! haha |
