so so so jealous of all you lucky biznitches!
I cannot wait to move closer to Toronto so I can join in this madness...
i went out in cleveland last night (epic fail) and the club had maybe 9 people and a wedding reception (wtf?)..of those 9 regular people, 8 of them were fall-on-the-floor sloppy drunk and obnoxious. the wedding reception people were WAY over-dressed and made it feel so weird and wrong...but hey, good for the married couple, beats a reception in a traditional sense.
it was major depressing to see a completely empty dancefloor, even though the local DJ--Evan Evolution, spins a decent set that SHOULD get people moving (if they weren't fall on the floor drunk!) but my friend and I were the only ones giving him some love.
Sigh...
good club/sound/DJ - good people/vibe = fail. |

I freakin' miss you, so much. Please move to Buffalo soon. You have no idea how many times I thought about how much you would have enjoyed Jeff's set... Which was recorded so you'll get to enjoy it soon, and how much you would have loved Satoshi based on our discussion at the Victor about what we both like in music. |

Cribby...it was a true pleasure. And thanks for saving me from the messed up dude who wouldn't take "No thank you" as an answer.

No problem. It was a pleasure to meet you! Remember what I taught you.. next time just scrape the dirt off of your shoulders :p Glad your first Footwork/Satoshi experience was an epic one.

@ CRIBBY
I wasn't giving a wedding review, I was commenting on how horribly DEAD and disappointing the Cleveland scene is, especially considering on a Saturday night the only thing remotely filling the club was a wedding reception party.
You should consider yourself lucky to live somewhere that has a relevant scene and people who support it & eachother...
@ MIKEY--End of July will be here before we know it! |

Serious quality music from both DJ's. Unfortunately only caught Buttons second hour but the vibe he created during that time was unreal. I felt like people were ready to explode with anticipation for the main act thanks to his warm up.
Satoshi was AMAZING. The first half of his set was exactly the kind of music I wanted to hear. Can't believe it took me this long to check him out but better late than never. Towards the end of the night I was really tired and couldn't enjoy the music as much as I would've liked to.
Highlight of the night goes to Jeff for playing Ame - Shiro and that one other track that went "BBBBAAAAWWWWWWWWW" :haha: I could've left the club before Satoshi came on and still been completely satisfied with the music. |

why would you EVER suggest someone move to Buffalo??
jeez. I know its close to Toronto and all but as someone who adores Toronto to death and got stuck living in Buffalo .. its not worth it. At all.
Just a side note ;) |
