Well worth the short drive from Windsor. This is prob the best set I've heard him put together, and as said above, he made 6 hours fly by pretty easily. I loved hearing that remix of without you near, I havent heard that since his first visit to BBR a few years back. The crowd seemed more manageable than usual, maybe because I always go to All Access events instead. Paco did a decent job, although the slight muck-ups had a bit of a malignant effect on my dance moves. It was great to see Veronika, Kotsy, Justin, and Vince... you guys are awesome. Orkhan, Gerry, where the hell were you???
Hope to see everyone again for Freedom in a couple of weeks!

I left around 430, probably would have stayed till the end if I didn't have a flight to catch.. was really nice meeting you chinamon!! Also, I think it was Fergus who recognized me from Vola and introduced himself?
Needless to say I am exhausted after two parties, lack of sleep, and a 12 hours flight... time to get some sleep!! |

funny how the majority of "equipment ups" seem to occur with laptops in the play..
i'm not saying...i'm just saying.
everytime I even think about making the switch to have all my music with me rather than on cds (that would really be the only reason), all i have to do is think back to any number of countless laptop run sets that have skipped, crashed or worse.
paco had a rough start but he did play some friggen sick tracks. Markus wins this night though. Played way better than i thought he would. Wish I could have stayed longer but we had two mothers day dinners to go to. |

Israel -gonna be here for a month and a half, so I'll miss a few real good parties in TO :( but am def not complaining!

Actually what I said was he was awesome, played some uniqe and fantastic tracks, and that it was a shame there were a couple of slipups on his laptop like on Halloween at the zone...don't put words in my mouth! :p I <3 Paco!!
Anyways, I was already in wow-mode still from Friday. I walked through the doors at Guv thinking, MAN isn't life just the absolute BEST EVER when trance gets booked here two nights in a row! (and this isn't even the first time this has happened this year, goddamn I'm a happy person!). :D
I don't really feel like writing a detailed review for this one, so I'll make this short and sweet. Paco is SICK, always love his track selection. The Gallery was WAYYYYY to hot, as usual. Stayed for an hour and a half before I couldn't handle myself not being in the main room (lol Jay, at the start of Paco: "You DO realize that there's trance being played in the main room..."). For Markus, words cannot describe. Better than BeB (and faster :D), better than anytime I've seen him at Guv, better than chocolate. His set at Pacha in NYC was always tops for me, but I'm pretty sure Sat night beat that out. Tune after tune after slamming tune, Markus was relentless. Started the night out banging, ended the night by dislocating all of our jaws. Without You Near, ooooohhhhhhhhhh yes, maybe one of the moments of the year.
