UPDATE - so I listened to you guys and have made another kick from scratch - still not right I think, but the new one HAS A STRANGE RELAXING QUALITY THAT INSPIRED TO ADD NEW RELAXING KEYS.

Tracks awaits vocals, then backgrounjd sounds / sweeps etc.

Cheers - you are the master of sound selection, so I take note!

I dont think it can be normal to spend weeks like I do trying to get the right kick n bass - I must be real bad at sound choice. I went through tons of bass combinations to get here.

haha master no but the bass and kick combo i will say is the most improtant parts off a track. and drums to it keeps it all tight in the mix.

Bass sound nice and compact (could make it a bit louder) - nice work.
Kick, hmmm - don't know, let me run it few more times (maybe a bit to loud for me, maybe???)

Cheers

Like the bass. The kick is too loud and dominant for my taste.

cheers

Thats why I love this forum - cheers guys, will work on a better kcik.

Fuk me Ive been through about 50 already - I find it near damned impossible to get the right kick.

I just bought the wave alchemy mkinimal techno pack and even then not one kick has sounded right yet.

I do layer 2 or 3 if needbe.

Maybe Ill make kickless tunes and leave the kick to one of you guysm eh!:stongue:

The bass is nice, but the kick doesn't work too well with it. I think it needs to be more punchy instead of, erm...springy? I think it's really got to do with the top end not being tight enough.

Edit: I just realised I'm echoing the others. But an extra opinion doesn't hurt, right?

Yesss, thanks Owen, that's what I was going to say about this kick.

Oh man, this kick problem is hunting me for long time lol, so you are not alone Richard - keep digging through your samples and you will find right one, don't worry, this process takes time and bloody hell drives me crazy too lol.

Cheers

Check this guy Anakratis - he doesn't have any problem to create perfect kick for his melody/track - drives me crazy man.

Cheers

The kick sounds nice, but not in a track like this.

This , i'd choose another kick , or raise the frequencies from 50-100HZ and cut the high/mid a bit , this kind of kick it's more for uplifting trance.

Also i think the bass can accept more volume :)

I don't listen to this kind of tracks so maybe i'm wrong and it should be like this but that's my advice
