well to each their own, obviously i'm biased but i think this is one of the strongest releases of the year top to bottom and his music never sounds samey to me.
everyone has their own aesthetics i guess.

be sure to check out robert james - sleep moods in june and lee foss - run around in july . .
cheers. . .

i don't think jamie jones' productions are sounding "samey" by any stretch of the imagination right now, but conversely i still think this release is "meh". title track is good, well, they're all decent, but nothing to scream about. i'd have to hear them played out in the right situation though i suppose. "masterplans" is probably my least favorite- not feelin' the "pew-pew!" sound effects going on in the background, heh.

It sounds samey to me, but I will admit I am incredibly biased when it comes to this type of music. My ear is not really all that developed, in my opinion, anyways.

On a happier note, Jamie Jones played some of the best ing sets I heard in Miami, and that's a fact. :)

Ruckus is ok, as is the dub, the other two are pretty boretown.

zzzzzzz

I share the same sentiments as this. Jamie is definitely a great producer, but this doesn't do much for me.

The dub could go off great if dropped at the right point in a set,

when would that be?

if it makes any difference to you he was playing at least 60/70% his own tracks and edits while playing that set.

Shortly after you get annoyed and go home.

It all depends on the vibe and flow of the set. But yeah, Bas is probably right.
