Jamie Jones - Ruckus [Hot Creations]
View this Thread in Original format
Forever Delayed
Top notch EP from Jamie Jones to launch the new Hot Creations label. Really strong EP throughout, but the title track is the definite winner for me, absolutely destroys the dancefloor.

Samples: Beatport

The sample is so funny, it's from Curb Your Enthusiasm. "I bring the ruckus to that ass Larry" :stongue:

Yes, awesome release. I thought this was going to be vinyl only, I'm glad it got a digital release as well. :)

Ruckus is ok, as is the dub, the other two are pretty boretown.

The dub could go off great if dropped at the right point in a set, but I'm not really feeling any of the other tracks on this one.

I could definitely get down to Ruckus, but overall pretty forgettable imo.
Ted Promo
Well, that was certainly that.

Jamie Jones has been a bore recently.

His stuff is just sounding incredibly samey at this point.

Not for me. Looking forward to forthcoming releases on the label though.

Not Jamie's best work IMO

Word, the Robert James EP coming out soon on it should be quality.

Can't understand everyone saying this is boring. Sure, he uses a similar sound in a lot of his work, but IMO it's quite a distinct sound that not too many producers share, a refreshing quality in today's sea of faceless tech-house clones. But meh, guess if you're not into it you're not into it :)
