12 month bump.
Its interesting to see just how much its grown over that time, while looking at it, not much happens until I start chucking things in different places.

I did finally get around to having the front yard tidied up with a fountain, gravel and some pavers. The Rhododendron is one of the few flowers in the garden at the moment as we're just coming into spring weather.

The hedge has grown about a full 20-30cm... making it a nightmare to clip. Got a new granite table for here.

The other hedge behind that one is still growing, however due to the sheer amount of rain its gone ballistic over the last 12 months and also due to be chopped and pruned into shape.

Pool area I bought a little sunshade up there, moved the glass table up from the courtyard and put it there instead. I also put solar powered LED fairy lights up there so its very pretty when it gets dark, though I couldn't get any fairy shaped ones, did manage to find to dragonflies though which light up :D

Changed a lot around at the 1st terrace garden to move the herb garden down the side of the house as they where choking/being choked by the roses.

Vines have taken over the fence at the 1st terrace, the arch is almost covered completely and has a nest with a pair of honey eaters that live in there now. Should have babies by the end of the month.

^^ Looks really good Lilith. I like the honeyeater part, of course :p

You must have had a bit of rain down there, right?! :p Looks nice and green. Hasn't rained up here in a while, so our grass is all dying and brown. Kinda figured we got enough rain last year/January :nervous:

I see you still have those disturbingly slippery tile pool stairs though :wtf: Nothing like a spinal injury to brighten up your day! :gsmile:

Edit: Do you still get the wagtails entertaining themselves in the mirror? :haha:

I haven't seen Willie Wagtail this year, he might have run off somewhere else, we have a Peewee which isn't much brighter and occasionally tries to hump himself on the mirror.
The honeyeaters are Little Wattlebirds, they're hard to get pictures of as they mostly just run off or sit way up in the palm tree yelling at me if I go near them. Aside from that there's a new pair of eastern rosellas in the area who come and visit, a family of spotted doves, couple of crested pigeons and a really huge pigeon with a slate grey body and white-grey head and shoulders I don't know what type he is.

Its rained and kept raining for the last 2-3 months, last week was some decent spring weather though so I'm hoping its over for now.

Here are some pics of the house I lived in with roommates back in Atlanta. I can't find the pool pics right now (which was pretty much the best part), but these will do!

With Halloween decorations:

Crappy picture of Christmas lights, but you get the idea:

Of course now that I'm in LA, I can't afford to rent a house and there's no point of showing pics of a mediocre apartment. :P

Willie will probably be back. Both them and Peewees like to nest around other black & white birds, and around water. Peewees (lol) may, in fact, be the dumbest birds I've ever encountered. Where I grew up, we had big glass sliding doors all along our veranda. At least every month or so, we'd have one smash it's face in on the glass, and either be stunned for hours, or just plain die.

Plenty of spotted turtle-doves and crested pigeons around here too, they make good food for the Sparrow Hawks in the area :gsmile: By the description of your other pigeon, it's probably a more pure breed of the rock pigeons from Scotland, where all the feral pigeons in Oz originated from. Could be an ex-racer too, we get them sometimes in our yard here, with their leg bands.

I'm sure they sound much better than those speakers you brought to Detroit. :p

I thought the same.
I just get the image of clay blasting his music while sitting on that chair half naked yelling to the hot chicks passing by drinking his budweiser. Can't forget the amount of cigarette buds on the floor. Pack of smoke i'd see you with? Gauloise.
