this is actually true. these finals are not the best i've seen. there's no drama. |

The NBA product has been diminished over the past decade, largely due to the inconsistency of the officials. It used to be that you could depend on getting bailed out during the regular season, but come playoff time you would really need to earn your buckets. Teams were allowed to get a bit more physical during the playoffs. The ticky tack fouls being called both ways have prevented teams in this series and the majority of all the other playoff series' from getting into any sort of flow. Especially teams like the Lakers and Celtics, which pride themselves on the defensive end of the floor.
I find the Laker games more frustrating than enjoyable these days due to this inconsistency, and I often question the integrity of the games/officials. Its just to obvious sometimes one way or the other, I wonder how NBA front office officials are not aligned with NBA fans on this.
In the end, I still watch cause I am die hard lakers. |
