The Lakers are 2-9 in versus the Celtics in NBA Finals history.
If they play again, the Celtics have proven they can shut down offenses and create one of their own, and the Lakers have only proven they can't do anything to stop an offense in this round. Their offense against Pheonix doesn't mean anything because any offensive team would put up that much against them.
If the Celtics play in the finals like the did games 1-3 of the conference final, no one can beat them. They can play by far the best TEAM basketball. Period. I could be the biggest Lakers fan, and I still wouldn't be able to be blind to that fact.
This all said, if Phoenix wins today, whole new series.
And if Orlando wins at home tomorrow, I think they have momentum and it's honestly a new series after that point too. Because then they just have to fight and win at boston again and then game 7 would be at home. |

It's a little early but its quite obvious which teams will be playing in the finals. I'm thinking Boston in 6... thats if Garnett can keep his head cool.

| This thread would be a a tad more amusing if the person who started it was even remotely into the NBA product. Instead we just have billy bored at work making another typical laker hater thread. Gina doesn't even allow sports on the television at their place. Nor is billy allowed to drink soda with caffeine or go to bed without eating his veggies. |

i'm sure there are as many people on these boards who despise the lakers as there are laker fans.
and come on - the clippers are much more worthless than the warriors. at least the warriors are fun to watch. and if you want to talk about worth let's talk about who packs stadiums: the clippers certainly don't. i've been living with a die hard warriors fan for 4 years now haha |
