No worries, mate. So far the only news I've heard is from a news reporter that is missing but he was reporting very close to the volcano.

Do you have any idea where your mom is? If I can help in contacting her, just let me know.

I made a few phone calls and in the end was able to get a hold of her. She can see the volcano, but isn't in any danger at all. I'm still not sure exactly what part of the country she's in.

ed up thing is, she was planning to climb up it with her friends tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear she's OK man.

That volcano has become a tourist attraction the past couple of years because a new crater has been forming and there's lava rivers constantly flowing, making it a breathtaking sight. I have climbed it myself 2 times (once spent the night), and it's absolutely incredible. I have some pics and I was sure I had them on Facebook but I guess not. I'll upload them later.

So one of the volcanoes that's about 60km away from the city is erupting right now and it's raining ashes. The volcano can be seen and heard from my house and it's quite a fantastic view. :p

Head for the hills? The volcano is the hill.

I heard this all occurred when Oscar played two Tiesto records back-to-back.
