June 20 to be accurate.

Legendary grandmasters of electronica, Orbital have just confirmed they will be releasing their
first new material since 2004. ‘Don’t Stop Me’ and ‘The Gun is Good’ will be released on 20th June through iTunes and through all other digital retailers and as a Limited edition 12” on 27th June.

These tracks represent the signature Orbital sound, with hints of new elements, and definitely a
few surprises, signifying a band still at their creative peak, 20 years since the release of their
breakthrough debut single, ‘Chime’.

Release Date : 20TH JUNE 2010
DIGITAL / LIMITED EDITION 12”
Label: ACP Recordings.

This sounds terrible for the first two minutes, and then it comes together to become a decent Orbital tune. I'm not sure I like it.

As a hardcore Orbital fan it's sad to admit I don't like this except for a few short moments here and there. It has lots of elements from today's trendy styles I can't stand. :(

/Puts the Brown Album on.

And they swore they were gone for good.

The vocal bits were highly annoying. Other than that it was semi-decent. I've never been a big Orbital fan though. They've made some seriously brilliant tracks and some completely ones.

Wouldn't had been a bad idea - they hit their musical peak years ago and their last couple of albums were hardly classics apart from a couple of semi-decent tracks. The work they did away from each other was far more interesting.

Never in my entire life did I think I'd hear ing fart bass in an Orbital track. What a massive, massive disappointment.
GrimReaper
I guess you've been lucky enough for not hearing the fart bass remix of Lush 3 that was on their "Orbital 20" compilation. How could anyone do something like that out of such beautiful a tune is beyond me. :(

Well no, but having them on the original works is even worse.
GrimReaper
Of course, I agree with you; they should have let the Orbital guise rest in peace and release something more interesting and less farty with their individual projects instead. I hope those albums weren't just one off releases.

Then again, I don't like too many of the remixes Phil did under Long Range either.

The Gun Is Good better not have any fart bass in it or else Orbital's return has been totally worthless pile of p00p.

Still prefer The Altogether but semi-excited about this

Grim, did you went to see Orbital last summer like you planned?

They're playing in Belgium soon, I'm considering to go.
