I never saw this book.... I don't think it was around... :(
But I certainly had a lot of bad ideas I could have added!

I did see a Book of Mormon laying around near the koi pond...it looked like it might have taken a swim in it, too.

We caught the last 30 minutes of Claude Von Stroke and I was sooooo thrilled about it. Great energy. Please bring this guy back to Toronto on a weekend! (He always seems to get random weekday bookings). I so very badly wanted to hear him play Beat that Bird with a Bat... and recognized that there was a good chance he had already played it early... but NO! One of my favourite DEMF moments. This track gets a lot of play whenever Geoff and I hang out - so hearing it that night was magical. Absolutely love the silliness of the track.
LOL that track kills me, it's so random. I want to see Claude VonStroke soooooo badly. Even more-so, after looking at some of the vids in this thread. I love his oh so dirty basslines that makes the walls shake. I think the last time he was in T.O., it actually was a friday night at Mod Club (I may be wrong). I didn't go for whatever reason, and I still regret it.
Last year my friend Alex went to DEMF, and went to see him at an afterparty. She ended up in a car with him afterwards... he was in the trunk of the car. LOL He sounded like quite the character.
I would really like to see him play FW, that would be amazing!
Really great reviews from everyone btw.....keep em coming! They're making my work week go by faster, since they take forever and a half to read! ;)

We ate at Lafyette Cooney Island once - it was.... alright. Not my thing at all. We did learn of Sloans (or Slows?) bbq. at the end of the festival - apparently its amazing and will definitely check it out next time I go.
U must check out Fishbones in Greektown, ask everyone that came out w/ me :)
Motown cafe on W. Lafayette (2 blocks from doubletree) was pretty wicked too

Also should have taken advantage of that Groupon offer for Angelina, which was right beside Comerica Park and only a short walk from Hart. Resto, service and the food (seafood risotto, s'all I gotta say!) were all amazing, and with the discount, our bill came to $80 for four people, including dessert, tip and a nice bottle of vino!
Can't remember the name of the restaurant we hit up in Hamtramck, but again, huge servings of super-healthy fare, excellent service and retardedly affordable.

I highly recommend Motown Café for delicious, very well priced food. Quick took, on average about 10 min wait - so worth it!
I had a (HUGE) BLT from them and an amazing Western omelette! Both were only $6.35 after tax - such a deal! esp considering the size and deliciousness of the meals! <3
And FISH BONES in Greektown is INDESCRIBABLE. This, like Old Miami, should be a "must do", but for your DEMF eating out experience!
The restaurant itself is beautiful and fascinating beyond words... so unique and mesmerizing! And the food itself - prolly one of the best dishes I've ever had. Out of this world tasty!!!
Everyone must try their alligator bites!! Those are bloody INCREDIBLE!!! <333

Fully with this! Doubletree was an incredible hotel to stay at for DEMF! Incredible rooms for what you pay IMO <3
I definitely plan to check out DEMF again next year and ideally be staying at the Doubletree again!
