Awareness about what? I wouldn't doubt that millions around the world know what happened. It's news everywhere.

BP is almost assuredly going to be put out of business for this whole fiasco.

By the time they are through the tens of thousands of lawsuits from the local fisherman, environmental agencies, tourism spots, etc., they will be doling out billions of dollars in compensation.

Oh sure, EVERYONE watches the news. news about an event in a gulf in America. About what? Maybe about what we have done to the planet? also, knowing about it different than actually seeing it. I hate to sound like a new age tool, but the more people see it, better for the planet.
