| I hate the entire SITC franchise. I don't understand why anyone would waste their money seeing what is clearly a vehicle which functions as a palliative set of arm Floaties for a series which has jumped the shark one too many times. |

Care to elaborate as to why you hate it so much? |

It's a superficial flight of fancy delving into romance issues faced by women on a cosmetic level and relying on standard tension and slapstick gimmicks used by television writers since before Cheers. The lead's complete inability to hold the steady relationship she seems to desire is indicative of a level of immaturity otherwise not televised since Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber (<-- Absolutely horrible) never-the-less it is somehow painted as having a level of sophistication which rises above the wardrobe choices made for all of the characters on any given episode. |

You know... the person who reviewed it could have at least criticized the movie for why it really sucked instead of pulling bull out of their ass to get the feminists pissed off. |
Most of The Stranger's female readers lean heavily towards feminism. Seattle is a very liberal city, and The Stranger is probably its most popular newspaper, next to the Seattle Times. All she was doing was writing for her audience.

| Christ.. You people do realize that all the negative comments towards women in the article were making fun of the movie, right? |

I realize this is sarcasm, but I have to laugh at this notion. Research has shown that parents need to continue working if that's what they feel is best for them, as it can put strain on the relationship between parent and child due to resentment, etc. Furthermore, as long as children have a consistent, positive, nurturing influence in their life it doesn't even have to be their own parent. |
see below... That was entirely the point, the review was criticising the film (which suggested women should not work!), not suggesting that they shouldn't.. Her comment was purely sarcastic! :)

LOL at some people misunderstanding the review, i thought it seemed pretty straightforward and hilarious :)
She was saying that SITC2 is extremely offensive to women, and is extremely racist and ethnocentric, just to summarise... |

I actually liked the series for the most part, if only because it was so horribly materialistic and made you realize why strict muslim crazies would want to crash planes into their city. |
